‘The subject was photographed and pictures were borrowed from long forgotten family albums as a private investigator would gather evidence about a surveillance subject. Images, such as ‘Drag’ and ‘Landscape through Alley,’ were taken without the subject’s knowledge; personal papers in his home were sought out and recorded. The process of shredding this ‘evidence’ renders it harmless; it becomes a part of a colourful tapestry that a few may decipher if they are determined enough. The prima facie evidence is there but it is layered in such a way to mask or obscure his true identity.’
